La Mont Lamont Brown Challenges and adversity is no stranger to this Chicago native. Raised in Harvey, IL, Lamont Brown experienced a lot of success athletically. However, while attending Brooks Jr. High School, he had difficulty dealing with hismother being on drugs, his stepfather leaving and his biological father in and out of jail.

While at Thornton High School, he began to give in to the pressures of street life, where he found himself in handcuffs over 20 times. Although he was a convicted felon twice, he was fortunate to escape the penitentiary by successfully completing sixty months of strict probation. Unfortunately, he had several close friends that received jail terms ranging anywhere between 3 to 30 years.

In addition to having a second chance, Lamont was fortunate to witness his mother delivered from drugs and to reunite with both fathers. But in the mist of negativity, Lamont decided to change his life and become an example ofhope to many. He wanted to become successful so that he can reach back into the communities of the world and say, "If I can do it, you can to".

Lamont’s accomplishments have been outstanding. Over the past few years, he has spoken to thousands of individuals across the country on entrepreneurship, team building, overcoming cultural diversities, motivating the motivator, pursuing your dreams and much more. He has empowered students and staff in the Chicagoland area on every level, ranging from elementary schools to universities.

Just to name a few, Lamont has shared the stage with International Speakers Les Brown and Marcus C. Gentry, R&B singer Trey Songz, Chicago Bulls legend Bob Love, Chicago Bears' Garrett Wolfe, Milwaukee Bucks' Bobby Simmons and Chicago's Top radio personalities, Ramonski Love and Tony Scolfield. Lamont was also apart of the midwest "S.T.O.P. The Violence Tour" with former high-ranking member of the Gangster Disciples,Harold "Noonie" Ward. It is obvious that Lamont has dedicated his life to helping people reach success in every aspect of their lives.

Lamont is the author of "From the Streets...To the Stage" and co-author of "Gangster with a Heart of Gold" forwarded by Grammy award winners Kanye West and Common. Lamont is a graduate of Cain’s Barber College andCo-Owner of SuperNatural Cuts Barber & Beauty Salons. Joshua's Generation Ps 28:7
7 The LORD is my strength and my shield; my heart trusted in him, and I am helped: therefore my heart greatly rejoiceth; and with my song will I praise him. (KJV)

God has given a group of young adults (ranging in age from 15-31 years of age) a purpose that we continue to do our best to fulfill in praising Him. Our passion is sharing what God has done for us and what He can do for others through uplifting and edifying through song.  Under direct leadership of Apostle Ron & Pastor Barbara Wilson along with Pastor Pam & Lawrence Scruggs, we are growing and learning the importance of being saved and filled with the Holy Spirit.  As well as understanding that, we all make mistakes, but how to become a winner and conquer those things through the word of the Lord.

Our goals are for us to: Seek to be inspired. Develop a great attitude and know that if you can get over your past you can secure your future! Joshua Generation has opened up for Zion Movement, Greater Harvest Baptist Church and many more.

Here are some keys to renewal:

1) You MUST be willing to move beyond old wounds.
2) You MUST let go of jealousy and anger.
3) Don't look back! Go forward!
